The Onlies to Perform at Pocahontas County Opera House
The Pocahontas County Opera House is set to host a compelling performance by The Onlies on Friday, October 25, 2024.
The Onlies, a group of talented young musicians from Seattle, WA, and Lexington, VA, bring a dynamic fusion of fiddles, guitars, and banjos to the stage. The band, consisting of Sami Braman, Riley Calcagno, Vivian Leva, and Leo Shannon, has earned widespread acclaim for its lively interpretations of traditional American old-time music. Audience members will recall that Riley Calcagno and Vivian Leva graced the Opera House stage a few years ago, and we are thrilled to welcome them back with this ensemble. Their latest self-titled album reflects their dedication to both preserving and innovating the genre with vibrant drive, intricate arrangements, and resonant melodies.
Having toured extensively across the United States, The Onlies have performed alongside notable artists such as Bruce Molsky, Elvis Costello, and Darol Anger. In 2017, they achieved first place at the Clifftop Appalachian Stringband Festival. This upcoming concert at the Pocahontas County Opera House promises an evening of spectacular music and entertainment, suitable for audiences of all ages.
The event is scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the Pocahontas County Opera House. The Opera House is committed to providing an accessible and welcoming environment for all attendees. We offer special accommodations upon request to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage patrons to purchase tickets in advance to secure the best available seats.
