Pocahontas County Drama workshop will present the Tom Dulack comedy Breaking Legs

On September 20 and 21 at 7:30 PM the Pocahontas County Drama workshop will present the Tom Dulack comedy Breaking Legs. The action occurs in an Italian restaurant owned by a successful mobster and managed by his beautiful unmarried daughter. When the daughter’s former college professor arrives to ask for financial backing for a play he’s written about a murder, the funny business gets rolling. The three main Mafiosi are intrigued with the idea of producing a play. The daughter becomes enamored of the playwright, who is delighted to have the family’s support. Lusty girl. Rich benefactors. What could go wrong? Loads, when the playwright discovers that that his backers are gangsters who insist on some serious script revisions or else! In this madcap spoof of every mob movie you’ve ever seen, murder, menace, and romance are served up with plenty of pasta and laughter.

Lou Graziano, the restaurant owner with a scary side hustle will be played by Craig Goheen. Newcomer, Lauren Bowlin will portray the infatuated daughter, Angie Graziano. Jeff Marcum takes on the role of Terrance O’Keefe a playwright who may have bitten off more fagioli than he can chew.

Mike Francisco, a dangerous and dyspeptic gambler will be played by Chris Curry. Nate Dameron will transform into the laconic, sinister Tino De Felice. Joe Miller rounds out the cast as Frankie Salvucci, a family friend with a risky habit of owing more than he can pay.

General Admission for Breaking Legs is $10.00. Language may not be appropriate for all ages. PG 13.
